okay, a recent thought i've had on my mind is the desire to be perfect. ( i hear the blogo-sphere roaring, or that might just be my brother, not sure, but anyway...)
when i say that, i don't at all mean the perfect-in-every-way-snobby-Mary-Poppins type, but more so in the knowing exactly how to act in every situation life throws at you. i mean could you imagine getting up every morning and knowing that no matter what the day in front of you held, that when you went to bed that night you wouldn't have any "why did i say that?" or "why didn't i react this way?" . it would even carry over into perfect decisions in the littlest things like what you were planning on doing for the day, and even what you were going to eat!
this is where if you really take 30 seconds and think about how different your life would be, it's amazing! i mean think about those things that take you completely by off guard, those things that make you wonder about your reaction to it, you wouldn't have to worry because you'd just know that you just had the perfect reaction.
*sighs* oh yes, it would be just a little slice of heaven. ;)

lol, i've been making myself a target all month so you're in company. :) (i refrain from saying good company.)
i see your point. i'm probably wishing for this same thing when i get the longing for things "just to be easy." i really don't want my circumstances to change, just for the effect to be less draining.
i've been reading the beginning of luke, where it talks about john being "filled with and controlled by the Holy Spirit." (vs. 15, amp) i think this might be just as close as we can get. it's what i'm praying for. yes, a little slice of heaven. :)
hey kate, i was thinking a good test of our "perfection" (really until "...... we all attain... to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, ... (Eph 4:13) is really the test. I actually got a 'low 'D' on that today. But His mercies are new every morning :)
p.s. love the lollipops!
"...great is His faithfulness." :)
