one or two?...

trust and waiting...they seem like such a simple words but they encompass so much. isn't it amazing how much we can learn about ourselves when the Lord takes us through these courses? :)

it's funny how God can give you small and seemingly insignificant lessons (like this video) which He brings to your mind at later times, that then seemed like nothing, and now have so much meaning. trusting and waiting always make me think of sitting on a stool. i can either wait quietly and patiently while God does His work, or i can stand up, start complaining and then wander off, loosing time and extending the wait.

that is where the video comes into play. as you watch it, it seems so simple, i mean come on they're marshmallows! you can see how badly each child wanted to rip right into them, but look at those who waited, the blessing they received, a double portion! it's a hard thing to wait, there are times where you want to give God Almighty some kind of time frame, let Him know that "you're just waiting, just waiting...over here...yup, right here", and get frustrated. but when we come to those moments of wanting to just give in, and start making some decisions on our own, let's remember exactly what His Word says about His thoughts toward us:

"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jer. 29:11

"In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:6

that is where i am right now, trusting in Him. i have come to the conclusion the more i learn about the Lord, and his faithfulness, that is the best place to be. :)
