every get up and think you're going to have a little peacefulness (check previous post lol!)? that is exactly what i thought before i got a text from Cheryl at 10:30 in the morning to please come help, the tearoom is flooded.

i thought "well, maybe she got some water in the basement or something". ya,

well, that would have been a lot easier! this is what i walked in on:

apparently a main water pipe in the upstairs bathroom burst and ran for at least 24 hours, coming through the walls and lighting fixtures, and running into the basement. thankfully Cheryl's cousin stopped by to hang some new blinds up and immediately called or otherwise it would have run for another 24 hours until Cheryl came to do food prep. it was overwhelming to walk in on, but God was good that it didn't run into the gift shop or kitchen, or the loss would have been much much worse. 

i just took these with my cell phone, but the damage is so bad that after i was there for 5 hours helping sort stuff out the guys were ripping the ceiling and wall out, right to the studs. it was really sad! needless to say i don't think she'll be open for a little while! 

it should be interesting though how she redoes everything...she definitely has a blank canvas!
